What generally makes u rate ur fellow mylotters NEGATIVE?!??!!

Don't worry too much about this. Your rating is determined by the Mylot community. It does not affect your earnings. Sometimes the rating may fall because of a Mylot glitch, other times because people rate you negatively. Some people give a negative rating because they don't like your opinion. This is so sad, since this is a forum in which to express one's opinion which may not be the same as that of the poster. Myself I only give a negative rating if the poster or respondent uses abusive language.

In my 2 months here at MyLot, I have never, ever given someone a negative rating. There were some that I just didn't give a rating at all. Actually, my ratings dropped from a 99 to 94 in just a few seconds. I was responding back to someone who commented on one of my discussion, when I got a glimpse of my star rating. It went from a blue 10 to a red 9. It's ok if some people gave me a negative rating. Maybe they didn't like what I have to say even if I tried my best to give responses that relates a lot to their discussions.

Its depressing I know but We cant deny that out of thousands of members here, there are people who are not that open-minded enough to consider that this site if open for all opinions! whether we agree or disagree on a particular topic but as long as it wont affect our earnings..lets just accept it!

If I can't rate a response or post positive, I won't rate it negative. So, I have no idea why people would abuse the rating system. And abuse is what we are talking about b/c certain variables must be present, in order for a post to be rated negative. But, and as you know, some people rate post(s) negative anyway. There is nothing you can do about others abusing the system. Continue doing what you are doing and don't worry about things that are out of your hand and that are insignificant anyway. BTW - I do feel that if mylot were to start revealing to users the identity of the person giving the negative rating, that it would help clear up the problem.....it would either clear up the problem or start a cyber war, either way it would be interesting.

Me. I don't use negative rating, i just want to be neutral even the reponse did not contribute instead I enhance to give additional point of view on the discussion. Sad to say some here on mylot take the discussion too personal, thus give negative rating to comments or reply whenever it does not agree on their own opinion. SOmetimes, it is also the cause why other mylotter leave mylot, for they get hurt for the fall of their rating.

I honestly have never used the negative rating button. I either rate positive or I dont rate at all. I think people are allowed thier own opinion and it is silly to rate them negative just becuase you dont agree.

I do not rate anyone negative ever in mylot. I fell pray to this. i was not agreeful with a discussion. the person who started me rated negative not there only but to amy other discussions still my star fell. its really cruel.

The majority of the discussions I review will get a positive rating but as always there will be exceptions. I've only given a few negative ratings but when I did it was due to spam or when the member was very rude in their post.
