You can only enjoy student life when you don't have money?

I was a poor student. I mean had to live in a campus with other 3 persons in my room and eat not so good and don't affrod big stuff. But I surely had a lot of friends and a lot o fun. The best time! Some of my colegues were living in private appartements alone and affort to eat in restaurants and buy expansive colthes. But they didn't have the opportunity to meeat other people and make friends. So I think that the real student life you feel it only when you live with the other students and make a lot of friends even if you don't have so much money. what do you think?

I haven't experienced that, as I started work early and studied at the same time. (Still am!)
I agree that being in a harder environment can emphasis the small pleasures and fun you have at the time though. i live in a comfortable house, and like to go camping and fishing with friends. I could afford a hotel and it's rough to stay in a tent in the UK, but I kind of like it because it simplifies things.
Last time I did that, we ate in a cafe after 4 days of cooking over a fire. It was absolutely gorgeous and tasted like we'd gone to the ritz!

you work your way to school. it is understandable why you cannot be hanging out with schoolmates so much. it is good that your earnings are at good levels and has made you live through a good and comfortable life.

it is right to say that we can still enjoy student life though we do not have much financial ease in life. those who have the money, can even enjoy it all hte more. they only have to open up their hearts and minds to the reality of life. we need friends to go by so we can have happy and fruitful times. the times we spend with friends while going through the study years, will spice up student life so much. our days in school become fun to have and to spend, all becuase of the good student friends we have around with us.

I also stay in a school dorm. It's fun to stay in the dorm (almost all regional scholars stay in the dorm). Even if you need to share a room with 3 other roommates, it's fun. You just have to enjoy it.
I agree to what you are saying. It's more enjoying when you don't have money since you have to stay in the dorm during weekends (no money for a shopping spree).

I lived in a boarding house with two other friends when I was in college, and I really had a blast. There were times when my allowance would actually run out before half the week was over, but I didn't mind much, I just stocked up on instant noodles and canned food. We still fondly recall our dorm days, and our "dorm food", which wasn't half bad, after we learned how to improvise. It really was an experience I wouldn't trade for anything else. I met friends that I plan to keep for life :)

i agree that happiness can be found from different aquintances, you've encountered the what we call friends, you got to know more about yourself, your interest, whom you wanted to be with but it just isn't found when you dont have money, it just happen that most of the poor people have lots of friends than the wealthy one does, it just depends on the person, if he/she goes out and enjoy making friends with others no matter what kind of living he/she has...l
