Do you try to search or find out the lost things? What makes you to do so?

Most of the people here would surely accept that they have lost a lot of things .... some of them very precious too. Sometimes, we try to have another instead of finding out the old one. Surely it depends upon how precious the lost thing was! How do you people do while you loose something? Is it better to search even if the thing was very cheap? What makes you to find? Anything that you lost and still in search of that? Thanks for your kind inputs!

If the lost article is of sentimental value to me, then I will hunt high and low for it, whatever the price it was. Maybe it would be a gift or token somebody close had given to you... then, I would be really upset and make every attempt to find it. If it was something I'd bought myself and it held no memories for me, then I would just replace it. Brightest Blessings.

Hi Darkwing! This really matters if you have some gift having some sentimental values lost. This is very much disturbing one. I remember that I lost a gift very cheap but having very rich value for me. That really made me very much disturbing.... :( Thanks for a response.

I know very well how it feels to lose something that is of immense value to one and not in terms of money..I lost my diary with all of my mom's recipes during a flight. One of our baggages was lost. The airline did not even compensate me for losing my luggage.I could not get that book anywhere and some of those recipes even she has forgotten now..basically for her home made spice powders etc.I also lost another good book of cakes but fortunately I located a copy of it on ebay. For me,finding lost things depends on what sentimental value it has for me.The diary that I lost had immense sentimental value for me and I was very sad for months afterwards..but nothing can be done anyway.I still hope even after almost 2 yrs that somewhere someday I will get that bag back.

I have learned along time ago. That most things are replaceable. Every material things are replaceable. Except pictures. That is what you miss the most when you loose or can't find them. people you care about you can't replace. No matter how hard you try. The one you try with will never measure up to the one you lost. I don't know why but when it come sto people and we loose them. We tend to put them on petal stools and forget everything negative about them. So when or if we do get them back. We are in for a big disappointment.

If I know I have lost something, I usually look for it. If I need it really in a hurry, I might buy a new one. Other times I just wait, because I know it will turn up eventually. I do lose things frequently.

If something has value and I have misplaced it, of course I look for it. It's a waste of money to buy something new. But I don't often lose things... my husband however... I don't like wasting money and losing things is a waste of money. If something had sentimental value, of course I look for it, as it is most liekly irreplacable, so I really try to recover it if I have lost it.

I do really try my best to search for something that is lost especially if it has sentimental value to me. I feel hopeless. sad and sometimes pissed if I can't find what I'm looking for.

If the things is really had sentimental value to me and given by me with special one, friends or families i would really look for it even if it is cheap. I just recently lost an old book that is really important to me since it is came from my beloved grandma. It was lost the time when we're doing cleaning in the house. As of now im still looking for it, and it makes me sad whenver i remember it and im not giving up yet. Maybe it just around just only hoping it was not thrown at the garbage or taken by my aunt with her abroad.

I look for lost things because I need them. Often that's why they're lost - because I don't need them for six weeks after they arrive in my house, like my new atm card or my friend's money order receipt, which is proof that I paid him back even though he never got it. I really must get a better filing system. I'm still looking for a letter from the IRS.

If it is something I need, I will search for it. Cost doesn't matter. Something cheap may be more valuable because it has a specific function. If it is something I rarely use, I might not spend time searching for it.

When I lost something, I try to calm myself first. I try to find it as much as possible, then when it is hopeless, I just blame myself then afterwards forget about it. Just the saying says, "Don't cry over the spilled milk." Whether it is cheap or expensive, what matters is its sentimental value. There are somethings that you can rarely find and that you cannot just buy easily for it is the time that dictates its value. Also, you cannot turn back to the time where you get it.

I usualy search for some thing lost. If the article lost is of lesser value the search will be light, but if the lost item is costly the search will also be intensive. I think we should search for a lost item, even if it is a cheap one and if there is time. If we are under preassure of time, we may not be able to search for the item. Thank you for the reference.

In the younger age we will lift up head and walk,we may not see many things because you never look down, when you become old you have to look down and see those you have lost on the way.

I've lost so many things I sometimes wondered if I was losing my mind.I have found a good majority of the things I lost and was greatful to get it back even if it didn't cost much.

I tend to search for misplaced items no matter what their monetary value if they should be in my house somewhere. I guess I have to prove to myself that I didn't REALLY lose it. I hate being so disorganized that I can't find something I need. But I've also just plain lost items. Whenever possible I go back to the places I last had the item and look for it. What I lose most often is earrings. If they are not important to me, I might just not go out of my way to find it. But I have some that are special for various reasons and I would search for them. I've also lost money. And that REALLY bothers me. It is hard to come by so losing it feels really bad.

I think that alot of the time..unless it is precious to us...it bothers us that we simply can not find whatever it is that we are looking for...I know that is what happens to me...when I misplace something..it bothers me that I do not know what I have done with it and THAT is what preys on my mind....I guess that I just cannot imagine that I would not know where something in my home is....LOL
