I recieved a letter in the mail along with a check for $6650.00.It read that I had won the lotto.Upon cashing the check I was to send them $5000 insurance fee and then they would release the other $93,350 that I had won.I called the bank where the check was from and there was an account.Whick means that this check would have cleared. But it was for a differant company. What these scammers do is get you to cash the check into your account and send them $5000 from your account.By the time the bank realizes that this is a fradulant check they have there money. And you are liable to pay them back the $5000 and if you spend any of the leftover cash you have used from the $6,650 you are liable for this also.Seems to me they should be thrown in jail.I wonder if they can be sued for this if they are caught?I am going to my local police station today to see what I can do about this. What else do you think I should do?
