lap is better than pc

Laptops are convenient, I agree, but the power is not even comparable to a desktop for the price. For college next year, I am buying a very inexpensive laptop, basically a portable word-processor and a powerful desktop, for any other performance needs like... gaming.

It really depends on how you use the computer. Laptops are better in terms of portablility but desktops can handle more peripherals and are easier to upgrade.

yeah i guess laptop is better but i really wouldnt know as i dont have one for myself yet! what i dont get is that if laptop is better,then how come there are some people who still buy PCs?? there must be some reason for their popularity right?

How can you say that lap is better than PC in what respect? It might be portable easy to carry but what else are there.

I'll take this one on! I much prefer my laptop computer. I have a desktop and a laptop in my house. I also have wireless internet, so I can work online anywhere that I can pick up a signal. Right now, I am in the kitchen. I teach online and have taught many classes from the comfort of my couch. I use my computer in bed, I use my computer in the front yard.

Yeah I think they are better than PCs. You can bring them anywhere and it has become a necessity nowadays in Universities. With a desktop, you are just stuck in one place (on the other hand I prefer desktop for gaming). They say that laptops will replace the desktops by 2011..but yeah, that's just what they say. :p

I think that desktops have better performance and last longer since they are not ment to be portable. But laptops can be taken anywhere and used anywhere as well. You would not want a desktop if you were always traveling. I myself perefer laptop because of the portability.

i prefer laptop because you can use it anywhere but in terms of upgrading the specs, I would prefer desktops more.

It really depends on the user. If your the business type who prefers portability over overall performance then lap is for you. If you're into applications that require higher specs like memory, cpu speed and performance, 3d graphics etc., then PC is for you. Personally I prefer PC because I play a lot of RPG games and likes.

Yeah, I think everyone knows which is the best especially for the "business" people. Laptops are more practical and movable which is a great priority over the standart computers. I also want a laptop and i'm working on the problem with the money.

You should make it be at least 3 complete sentences long. Just a word of advice. I think you are trying to ask if a laptop is better than a desktop pc. I love my laptop. It's nice to take it all around the house with me. I can also take it with me when I go somewhere.

i don't think so, if computer is not something you have to get your hands on when travelling, i will definitely go wi PC

I would go with a laptop. A couple of years ago I had to make this decision aswell and I realized a laptop is the way to go if you plan to be travelling alot. If you work from home or play a lot of games, a desktop computer is better (and also cheaper). Being a student, a laptop was a must.
