I just don't get it. If you haven't heard, Atlanta Falcons star quarterback Michael Vick owns a house that a relative resides in. Recently the house was raided for drugs, they also found evidence of organize dog fighting, not really a stretch when you think about the kind of people drug dealers and/or addicts are. Vick is being investigated because he might be involved in the dog fighting. Now if that isn't bad enough, some other NFL players are defending Vick, both stating they don't believe dog fighting is a crime, and that it is his house and his dogs, it is his business what he does with them. What?? So domestic abuse should be no big deal, because it is your wife and it is in your house, so beat her up as much as you want? These people amaze me! Of course, they are rich and spoiled, and I'm sure believe they are above the law, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised. Sometimes I really hate people!

Dog fighting is animal abuse. I don't understand how someone could see anything enjoyable about that. I think if any football players said it was no big deal they are just ignorant. Where Vick is concerned, if he knew about the dog fighting at his home and did nothing shame on him. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt until the case is tried.

If his friends think it's ok, then they're just as bad as he is, and probably most of them have been involved in it, at some point too. It is a sick sport, and the people that like it, are sick too. I believe they should all be locked up for life, and only fed once in a great while. Some of these dogs are skin and bones, so why should the bums feeding them be well fed? I have said it many times before, I think anyone involved in animal cruelty, of any sort, should have the same thing done to them as they did to the animal. These poor dogs don't have any choice about the situation they're put in, so these idiots need to be put in the ring with each other and have to fight to live. They're nothing more than a waste of air and space on the earth anyway!

oh dear, im too sad about this. you see, i really love and adore and respect dogs, and then here in your discussion i find out about how people are mistreating dogs and treating them as if they were nothing but toys! :( oh, people shouldnt be like that, a dog is man's best friend. how could they? they are like beasts without hearts. i wish one day they also feel what the dog is feeling when they are about to fight in the dog fight. those people really have no hearts. i wish karma would come their ay so they can see that what they're doing is wrong.

Well, they're professional athletes that probably only got into college because they played football well and probably dropped out before they graduated anyways to play for the NFL. I have no problem with professional athletes, it's just the ignorant ones like the ones related to this that make me angry. Dog fighting is illegal and just down right wrong. They're animals, they have feelings, they get hurt, how can someone consciously do this to a living thing? And the saddest part is that these animals cannot be rehabilitated. The shelters have to put them to sleep because they're too much of a risk. The dogs didn't ask for this but someone that is supposed to have a bigger brain than them did this to them. It just disgusts me.
