I feel sick on still having to be dependent on my parents..........

sometimes.... Sigh, they didn't allow me again to go with my friends for vacation. I mean, I think I deserve it after spending the entire summer vacation at the hospital doing my rotation as a student nurse. Couldn't they see my effort?It is only now, I've got only one chance, to take a break out of all the tiring work school has given me....and they hu-wat...they blew my very chance away!
Well, well, it's not really because I'am not allowed..it's actually because I decided to just not go because I wasn't able to ask permission. Why? Coz even before I still got to tell them, they were mocking me again of things I don't want to remember. It saddens me to realize that no matter how hard I try to put behind my bad experiences, there are always people who would bring it up again.
I feel sick because even if i was not demanded to not go verbally, they like said it in a different way. Why can't they just get over it? How should I deal with this things?

oh my friend, i think i know what you mean. As a parent myself i know how protective we can be. Unfortunately one of the things we do is remind others of long past problems. Although things that have happened to you in your past are not easy to handle and are best left where they are burried until you are ready to face them, a parent cant help but draw reference to them and warn you about the present.
Sorry if this is confused, but yes im sure you have guessed by now, im reading you lol

lol. Don't worry cause you guessed it right. I really try to understand them when they bring up topics that are past overdue but sometimes it gets pretty annoying and ridiculous. i think what they have to pay more attention to is how i've managed to correct that mistake and the effort i exerted to make them trust me again, things like that.

When you say your still dependent on your parents it sounds like they are paying for your schooling. If this the case and you want to go on vacation who will pay for the vacation? If you have your own money for vacation maybe they feel that you should not spend it for a vacation and save it towards school stuff.
