broken sandals while outside!!!

This happened when I was in China. I went to the mall to buy some stuffs that my sister asked me to buy. After that, I took the bus and I was on my way to her place. The bus stopped at the bus stop and I went down...alas!...my sandal's strap snapped off and there was no way I could wear it coz its broken. I walked barefoot 4 blocks from the bus stop to my sister's place! I had no other choice, so I had to walk fast coz I didn't want people to see me. Good thing the path going there was a little dark and nobody was walking there aside from me. Have you been in a similar situation as mine? What happened? What did you do? Did somebody saw you?

i have experienced this about two times or more. i keep on having my sandals broken and mind you, it is really an embarassing moment for me. i sometimes just ignore it and wait till i get home if the damage isnt really that big. however, when its damaged to the extent that i cant walk properly anymore, i end up buying new sandals right then and there. lolz.

Wasn't it warm outside? Then who would even notice that you walked bare footed? I often do that during the summer :-)
