i love him.. but it hurts sooo much!!

there's a guy who i'm in love with.. i had met him on the net and we gradually became besttt friends... he had been going out with my senior and when he broke up then i was there for him.. just like he was there for me when i broke up with my ex... though we were attracted to each other we couldn't really do anything because we hadn't even met and he still cared for his ex... i met him for the first time some days ago... we made love last nite.. it was my first time.. i lost my virginity to a man who i love and who loves me in a way too..but at the same time, he still loves his ex too.. it's really hard for me.. i knw that i won't make love to him again... not till he loves me wholly and completely... his ex is also weird at times... says that she won't go out with him but keeps dropping hints as though she still cares... she doesn't let him get over her... i just don't know what to do... or even think.. did i lose my virginity to a man that i love or to a man who loves someone else?? he says he loves me.. i don't know what to do... and i'm his bestt friend so obviously he told me about how he spent time with that ex of his. . he was sooo happy... it hurts.. i know it's selfish.. but it does hurt... :( can anyone help?? any suggestions??
