A Students rights

Do you feel that a school has the right to bring in dogs to sniff for drugs the students lockers or is this against a students rights?
If it is okay why
if not why not
if you think it is not okay how else can the school keep drugs out?
What would you do differently.
Personally I think it is a good thing, the kids are not allowed out of their classrooms when this is going on so they don't see it, and the dogs will only scratch at the lockers with the drugs.
I think the students that don't do drugs have a right to a drug free school.

I think that the school has every right to do this. It is their duty to provide a safe school and if people do bring stuff in then they should live with the consequences. I think its a great idea and the students should not have any rights to object to it.

I think the students only have so many rights when it comes to school. And having their lockers sniffed by dogs. For one, those things shouldn't be in school and two, they shouldn't be selling them, nor taking them at school because it puts both students and teachers at risk. Searching their lockers is perfectly acceptable.

You're right.
I think it's lame how some get away with things and schools, colleges get ruined by a bad crowed.
It's very important to cut this sort of thing out.
But oh well,

Looking at the youth nowadays i think it's a great idea.It may also be necessary.

As a student I would have said it violated personal rights. As a parent I am all for checking. If you are going to bring that stuff ontot he premises, you are going to have to be prepared to be busted. And I would rather they get busted than be tempting my kids with it.
