Well it's official...Anaheim vs. Ottawa for the big man's cup!

Can't say as I'm thrilled. While I like Giggy a lot I am not a huge fan of Anaheim. My daughter's happy as she's in love with them even though they got rid of her favorite player (Kariya).
So are you planning any Stanley Cup parties? Who are you cheering for?

Nope- no parties- I was cheering for Buffalo Sabers- I probably won’t even watch it now- I’m not a huge hockey fan- just for the hometown teams- Now that we are out- I’m out! I’m watching the NBA Playoffs though- Who has time to watch all the sports? lol

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in Buffalo too. Seems like no matter what.. they're the city that can't quite make it! LOL

I think it is exciting to see some new teams in the Finals this year. Of course, I am a Flyers fan and would rather see them there but they had a bad year. It should be a good series and am cheering for Anaheim to win. It will be great having a new team winning the Cup this year and for the first team in either teams history. I do not have Stanley Cup parties as I probably will not watch very much of the games.

Well, Ottawa actually has won numerous times but so long ago that nobody really remembers! LOL They won back in the 1920's quite a few times actually.
As for Anaheim, they've had their chances but blew it. So to be honest either team would be good to see win. Anaheim is still a "young" team as far as years in the NHL so to me it's no big deal if they have to try over and over again for a while. The Original 6 Teams deserve their wins and chances by now as they've been around since the beginning and yes, Ottawa is one of them. LOL
Go ahead VMKS... gloat! But I still think you canucks won't get the cup! LOL

LOL... thats ok... I never mind anyone cheering for their team. Even if I can't stand them. I don't dislike Ottawa, just not one of my more faves in the NHL and Anaheim, great players but OMG.. two words... Anaheim and ICE?! Come on! Some things aren't meant to be. LOL

Thanks. I have to let her love whatever team she loves. She can't help her faults! LOL Besides, she loves the Penguins most so she's okay in my book.
