I am from the U.S. and I would have to say that I do greet men and women pretty much the same way. If I am meeting them for the first time and it is a formal or business meeting, I smile, look them in the eye, and shake their hand, man or woman. If it is an informal first time, I'll say hi, and look them in the eye, and probably do a little wave. First impressions are so important in this country and if you want to be treated with respect, you have to treat others that way too, and that includes how you greet them.

Well i am from mauritius but living in uk! In mauritius we greet close ones by kissing them on their cheeks(left and right) and when we greet new people we say simply hello! Whether it is a man or a woman we greet them the same way the only difference is that it depends whether he/she is a close one or not!
How about you?
