I've been a fan since the 1970's when he was in his wilder days! I prefer his older stuff but I do quite like some of the American Songbooks. My favourite Rod Stewart song is "You Wear It Well". Love it!

I love Rod Stewart. Reason to Believe is one of my favorites as well. When I saw the discussion it was the first song that popped into my head and I can hear him singing it now! Maggie May is also one that is a favorite. I could go on and on.

I love “If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be Right”. I just love this song- Not for the cheating part of the song- but just because I like the melody and the beat- Rod Stewart is a great artist! I also like Maggie May. He is a rock star!

It is a good song, the story behind it is sad,but I can't stop liking the song.Luther Ingram did it well but Rod's version is well Rod's version and he performs in the style we love about him.

Hi suscan, You know, I'm not familliar with all of Rod Stewarts music...I never really was a fan. I do however have a favorite song of his. "forever young" When I listen to a favorite song I always remember where I was or what I was doing when I heard the song for the first time. The first time I heard that song I remember being cruising in my friends car thinking..I will be forever young !! Lmao..was I wrong.

i would have to say "you're in my heart" what better way to tell your better half than this? the song says it all, "you're in my heart/you're in my soul... you are lover you're my best friend.. you're in my soul..." you just have to swoon when you hear rod stewart sing it...

Everyone thinks of Maggie May first but I almost forgot how lovely Forever Young is and reminds me of my youth in Scotland - makes me homesick even after 30 years away. If you've never been it's well worth the trip, as even though the weather is not so great, the history and countryside (been a while since I've been back mind you) is well worth the trouble.

I love "Faith of the Heart". i was first introduced to the song through "Star Trek: Enterprise" because that was the opening theme. i will say i don't really like Rod Stewart's version. Im much more partial to Russel Watson's version which can be heard every time you watch Enterprise.

Waltzing Matilda is one of my favorite Stewart song. I feel the hurt/loneliness/sadness whenever I hear the song. Read the first lines: Hey Frank can i borrow a few bucks from you To go waltzing Matilda waltzing Matilda You'll go waltzing Matilda with me. Breaks my heart....
