how often do you make a phone call to your parents?

I do not live in the same city with my parents and my city is very far away from my hometown.I make a phone call to my parents once a week usually.and sometimes,if I am so busy that I have no time or because of something else I can not ring to them,they will be worrysome about me,then they will give me a call.
but everytime I make a call to my mother,she always say that:if you have not other things,just ring off,do not waste your money.I know she just want to save money for me although she have many words said to me.
yes,maybe I make a call for nothing,but I just make a phone call once a week?how about you?

About once a week is pretty average. When there are some things of import occurring then it really depends.

I call my parents at least every other day. I love to talk to my mom, she's great. My Dad is cool too, but sometimes he is super, super long-winded.

Same here, i am away from my parents so call almost everyday. sometimes even more than once in a day.

i live with my parents, but whenever i go to some other place i always try to call them atleast once in a day

i do stay away from my parents. i call once in a week. I chat with my parents every alternate days. I keep sending mails. So my parents are less worried.
Yes, phone call cost u a lot.Make sure u call them atleast once in a week. Which makes them very happy.
