dead beat dads

The way I look at it is if the father/mother doesn't want anything to do with them, then so be it. I'd rather them live without the other parent than be mistreated or something by them. My 3 kids have never seen their fathers with the exception of the 2nd one. She got to see hers, but that was just for an hour a day when he came home to shower after work. He was abusive towards both of us, and after having my son he swore off both of them, so I say that's his loss. At least they still have me, you know. I don't get help from him, child support, phone calls, etc. I feel it's better that way though, and so does the state. I got social services involved, and they told me not to contact him or worry about the child support, that way if he does ever try to pull something, the courts will see that I've been taking care of these kids on my own without any help from him, and that'll make me the better more responsible parent.
