Hiii guys
do you think that the transfer of beckham help to lift the american football or is it gonna be something like that of the PELE transferwhich didn't bring much changes to their footballing spirit.
I do hope that it brings some changes some changes by which one day USA become one of the power house in the world football and I do hope it happens pretty soon.

Personally, I believe the Galaxy management is trying to cash in on his popularity to lift their game and generate more interest for their team. There are so many good players in European soccer, and Beckham probably knows he will be more hero-worshipped in America and in Europe. Just my thoughts, though I may be perceiving this wrongly.

there is no chance to depend on a football star like beckham ,bele or other to bring any big change to american football,for i think football for anericans is just like basketball to brazils,though they also do very good in both aspects.

yeah... it happened with michael jordan.. he influenced an international recognition of basketball.... as for david beckham, we now how much marketing influence he has.. la galaxy need to not only reap financial rewards from him, but also give back to the community by designing a promotional program around him to promote soccer in the US. US have got talent, but they probably go to some other sport because youngsters don't really think of soccer providing a secure future career prospect for them...
