My son has been the victim of a bully. We have removed him from the bus because we feared he would be hurt. We hav talked to the principal who was helpful, but inevitably the boy continued the behavior. Has anyone ever had to take bullying outside of the school when administration wasn't helpful? What are the steps?

Strangely what I am noticing is the choice of friends that my son is choosing and i think it is along those same lines. He is not choosing to hang with "bullies" but he does gravitate towards the larger kids in the class. HE is very small and all of his friends out weight him by at least 30 pounds. Luckily these kids have good parents and seem to be very nice, but i don't want him to surround himself with the kids he feels can protect him in the playground.

A close friend of mine had a similar situation at the local middle school with her daughter and she ended going above the principals head and going to the superintendent and complaining to them.
It so happens that now it has been taken care of and all is good for now. You might want to go above the principals head and see what happins.
