Does anyone have tips for getting things unpacked from moving? I've heard lots of people say they moved x number of years ago and still have boxes in the attic, garage, etc. lol I'm a SAHM so you'd think it would be easy right? I've been slowly going through stuff and putting it away or e-baying/yard saling it. This however, is hilarious... my husband used to work at Frisch's (Big Boy) and has what he calls a cup colection. you know those huge plastic cups that they give your drink in sometimes? Well, he has a serious obsession with them! He won't let me get rid of them. I'm not kidding there's got to be over 100.

whenever i used to do some moving, i take some time to pack. i get those things which are not being used so much like those decorative things around. mark and label the boxes properly for easy identification. slowly, i will have packed from the ones which are of not much use, until by the time moving day comes, only those which are being used until the last day will be the ones to tackle with packing. i will just label them 'no. 1'. this means that these are the boxes of topmost priority for opening upon reaching the new destination. other boxes which will be necessary for daily use, too, will have been marked 'important' already. this way, i can now move comfortably move around the new home although lots of unpacking are there still left for me to do. what counts most is, all the needed things are out.
