It could be either. I have a daughter and when she was a baby I put her in blue once and people thought she was a boy. Just yesterday when I was walking my daughter to school there was a woman pushing a stroller, the baby was probably almost a year, she was pointing at the dog and I said oh he likes the dog, the woman said she. I felt really bad but it was hard to tell, today the little girl was in pink :) I think for the most part really young babies are hard to tell.
