Anyone got any ideas on how to treat my Nostalgia?

Hi all It would seem that, of all the things I could develop, I seem to have a nasty case of nostalgia. No, not that warm, fuzzy feeling when you visit your old school, I mean that sickness in your stomach, tightness in your chest, and depressed imagery in your mind regarding the past, longing to return to it, but due to the linear way that time travels, you just can't get back there. Even though my past sucked, and logic would dictate that it would just be plain stupid to want to go back to it, I've felt myself become obsessed with it, I can't seem to let go, I so badly want to return to my childhood that it's affecting my study, my relationships, and my health, and I feel like I'm getting more and more depressed every day. Since there hasn't been a diagnosed case of nostalgia since, oh, around the nineteenth century, I don't like my chances of being taken seriously by any doctor or psychologist. So does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong with me, and especially how to fix it? 'Shady

hello there. :) whoa, guess that must be some neagtive nostalgia huh? you must have had a lot of pent up feelings brewing inside you. well, basing from what you have said, it seems that you have some unpleasant unfiniched business in the past and that is what makes you feel queasy and nostalgic. you know what i can suggest to you? you try to fix whatever is bothering you from the past. you have some unresolved business you know. and if you cant seem to point a finger to what you are being bothered about, maybe you could spend some time thinking about what's really bothering you. good luck my friend. :)
