Now,let's share our opinions of social skill here.
Is social skill important?
Many smart people with the best education may fail as ordinary people. They do not fail for lack of knowledge, but rather, more often than not,for only one simple reason--the lack of social skills.
In our schools,we often overemphasize academic achievements and neglect the development of social skills. For example,i just made friends with the ones who had good performance in exams.
After graduation,i found we may get along on brilliance for while, but most careers involve other people. We may have great academic intelligence and still lack of social intelligence--the ability to make friends,to be sensitive to the feeling of others,to give and take criticism as well. That's really awful and will never lead to success. If people don't like you, they may help you fail easily. If you are likable, things will be different.
In my eyes, people with high social intelligence take their share of blame and move on.They know how to build team work and take leadership, then, dear friends, what's your idea about social skill?

hi there. yes, i do agree that social skills are really important because without it, we cant really interact with other people. without social skills, we would end up being a hermit or just existing with no friends but lots of enemies. lolz. i dont know about other people, but i do treasure social skills so much. :)

Social skills are hugely important in everything we do. For example, if you go for an interview, you could have all the academic qualifications going, but have no ability to be warm enough and articulate enough to get them across to others, or to fit in to a working office or whatever. If you run your own business you need social skills to ensure you have a rapport with people so that they come back again and again. In fact it is only by building up these kinds of relationships that many businesses maintain their operations. Social skills impact every part of every day, the people we deal with at work, the people we go to meetings with, the people we meet in the street or at the shops, it also comes across in the way that we speak and write in emails. Social skills are the ability to get along with, converse with, pursuade and form opinions with other people. THey are crucial life skills in my opinion. It is also a hugely important way of having respect and understanding of others. So very many people are growing up without any such skills now that I truly believe the social fabric is being undermined.

I think sometimes you can be really smart as is book smart and not have the skills I know some poeple like that I'm book smart and people smart I know how to socialize I enjoy it very much to me it's important book smart can only go so far the being able to deal with people will get through jobs and to be able to deal with the people better I think
