How do you best lose weight? Do you starve yourself to lose weight? DO you take pills?
I lost a significant amount of weight a few years ago, by altering my eating habits (no snacking after 6 pm) and incorporating Chromium Picolinate supplement into my daily regimen. I lost 25 lb in one month. The following month, I only lost 13 lbs.
The bad news...when I went back to my old eating habits and kicked the Chromium, I gained my weight back plus some.
What has been successful for you

Personally, I don't believe in diet pills. I think that's just a temporary fix. Plus, you have no idea what the side effects may be as most of them are not approved by FDA. I would not want to be a guinea pig for pharmaceutical companies. I think the best, healthiest and most effective way to control weight is to exercise and eat right. I evercise 3 times a week and I monitor my diet. I eat healthy, no processed food as much as possible, limit my fast food, sugar and salt intake and snacking only on healthy stuff. So far it's worked for me and I am not only able to maintain my weight but I also feel healthier and stronger and have more energy to do stuff. I always focus on staying HEALTHY and not staying thin.

Thanks for your response. I would love to have more energy. I think my biggest downfall is that I sneak in a soda every day!

it is really important that we stay healthy rather than thin. it just so happens that the slim ones are the healthier ones because they have trimmed down the fats in their body. i will incorporate your suggestions to what i have been already oberving. i have been maintaining my weight but there is a need for me to lose some. in other words, i am really an overweight individual. i am happy that i have found a way to put to a halt that time when i kept on adding more weight each week.

I have to say I dont believe in diet pills either, mostly because Ive heard so many people put all their hopes and wishes into a bottle of diet pills and be disappointed when they didnt work. Ive chosen not to try them and just see if I can do it by diet and exercise. Seems to be working so far.

Thanks for your response. I just feel I need to clarify that I didn't take a diet pill. I was taking a mineral supplement. :-) In my case, it helped my metabolism get burning more efficiently.
I have not been taking any diet pills, and I have not been exercising regularly. So I am at a standstill. No wonder, huh? No exercise? Hmmph. :-)
