society is really unfair. why is it when it comes to relatinships a woman is always laggin behind? Why is it a woman is always blamed when a relationship has broken down? In our society today when a woman commits an adulterous act, she is branded a promiscuous woman but if a man has a mistress, socity says it's okay because it is the nature of man to be polygamous and a woman monogamous. Would you believe that? What a joke... even in our enlightened society today woman are still beiing put down. Even with our efforts to be equal with man in stature and power, we are still undermine when it comes to morality. Why is that? I wonder why? Does these mean that man and woman are not really equal? That women are just second best to man? I don't think so... I believe that woman just placed a higher regard to her self-esteem and morality than men... Do you agree?

No, it simply means that men and women are different. Different doesn't always mean unequal. I disagree that the blame is put on the woman all the time. I do believe that woman put a lot more of their self esteem into relationships than guys do in some instances, but not all. It takes two to tango so usually both parties are at fault in some way. The woman may be promiscuous but the man plays on those vulnerabilities that make women act that way as well. Women are guilty of treating men much the same way. Do we go for the smartest guy in the room or the most handsome? See it's all in perspective I think. If you are a guy that has always thought that women were objects then your feelings probably won't change but if you feel that women are equals than you treat them as such. I don't think there is any one stereo-type for guys any more than there are stereo types for women. In the end when we can get past the whole gender thing and view everyone as simply "people" then things will get better that way I think. Unfortunately for the time being we have to put up with the labels as they exist and simply try to dispel them. If you don't want to be stereo-typed then simply don't act like the stereotype that you don't want to be labeled with ..its pretty much that simple :) (IMHO that is)

I guess it also depends on the society or environment one is living in. I agree with what you are saying, woman and men are different but in the society I am living in, woman are treated unequal. I guess yours are more free than mine is. I hope someday mine will be too.
