do you pray with your children before you eat?

when i was a child my mother always made a short pray before we eat, something like to say thank you for the things that are on the table. Do you also have a special pray while sitting at the table to eat? which?

We do pray before we eat. At the beginning of this year, we started saying our usual prayer together and then everyone says something that they are thankful for. The kids come up with some really cute things. It also helps us to know what is on the kids minds because it usually reflects something that happened during the day.

We are a bad family:( We have gotten away from saying a prayer before we eat. I think that it is because now that the kids are older and involved in sports and work, we don't usually have family meals that often anymore. We do always say a blessing on the holidays when all together.

yes we bless and pray over our food before we eat. All 3 of my kids like to pray. Really there are usually 3 prayers lol
