Because in Church, Christians be united in worship, enjoying the Word and in Fellowship. And it's the commandment from the Bible, "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-- and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Your verse is Hebrews 10:25
Going to church is like a glass of ice water. You don't put ice in it just once and keep drinking and let it set and expect it to stay cold you add ice to keep it cold. Or it is like a fire, once you build it you keep adding wood to it to keep it going or it will go out. We need to go to church to encourage oneanother, share burdens, share joys, share God's word and to unite with others of our faith. It is an uplifting experience and is a way of putting God first in our lives.
