CS 1.6 vs CS 2.0

y is it that people play more of CS 1.6 and not CS 2.0 although 2 has better graphics and physics engine. CS 2 is developed on Half life 2 engine. Anyways what are the most exciting and nerve tickling maps in CS 1.6 and CS 2. u might also give your reviews about both the games. all your replies wud be properly ranked. thnx

CS 1.6 is preferred over CS source because 1.6 is not that hardware hungry whereas CS Source requires very updated hardware to run smoothly!
CS 1.6 runs on software mode even if your PC is low on required hardware configuration and thats what makes it so popular!
The recommended hardware requirements for CS source are too much for an average person to afford and i think that is its undoing!

2.0 is better at al but some people dont like it and i dont know why...

when your comparing between cs 1.6 and cs 2.0, the graphics of cs 2 and its phyiscs is much much better than the previous version, but cs 2 does have its drawbacks.
The gameplay of cs 1.6 is said to be better as its smooth and fine.
But still, overall when you look at both of them, you will see that cs 2 is better by far because after all it is the later version of the previous game........

I don't know. I think CS 1.6 is better than CS:SOURCE. Not every human have very powerfull PC.

Although 2.0 (source) has better graphics, physics engine and is a litle more realistic, 1.6 is preferred around the world. Some people (like me) have really #bad video cards, and cannot support source games (CS:S HL2, HL2DM DOD:S). On my brother's computer, he has an Nvidia 5600 and css barely runs on his computer. It really takes up a lot of hardware, and gameplay is not that different.
1.6 is better, because more people can support it.
