The truth about survey sites! ...........

I have seen many discussions about survey sites being a scam
I beg to differ
The thing is that there is a common mistake people do, they confuse the rel survey sites with those bogus offer disguised "survey " things from the paid to offers
here are a few ground basis to know for everyone thinking about doing surveys :
*Some kind of "offer" call themselves surveys when the only thing they are trying to do is sign up with their partner sites and you need to stay away from those. If the "survey" starts by something like "do you prefer X or Y?" and ask for an email address or a zipcode, this iis what I call a false survey site. Or if they ask you in the first pages if you want to sign up with another site as well, avoid them.
*Also avoid any kind of company that tells you that they will pay you $25-$100 per survey, and the only thing you have to do is pay a "small fee" to sign-up ... run! 97% of those are scam ... and the 3% will only give you a list of the good survey sites, but you can find them by yourself, for free ...
*And ... the GOOD ONES ... free to sign up and which pay ... they exist and there are several ... most of them though are directed to US and canada but some are open to international persons too
If you are interested I have a list of many survey sites on my webpage:
http://iamhere2help.mysite.com/custom4.html
and I have indicated if they have paid me or not, amd how much so far
Also if you want to send me a private message to get more details, I will try to do my best help you
thanks for reading ;-)

I just wanted to share another survey site that you don't have listed. It doesn't pay in cash, only in gift cards. And it's only available for the US. But I did receive my gift card SUPER fast. I requested it on Friday, and it was in my mailbox on Tuesday. It has offers you can sign up for to get points, but it also has a daily survey that is worth 30 points each, and if you do at least 15 of them in a month, you get a bonus 250 points (each point is worth at least 2 cents, even more if you save the points up for a bigger gift card). I am able to qualify for a survey at least 2 out of 3 days. I just did my 15th one this month.
Anyway, here's the link if you want to check it out...

You only have to have 500 points to redeem for a $10 giftcard. I do a survey and put up a freebie link everyday. I've been with them for about a month and a half, and have only done 2 of the other offers, and I've received a $10 gifcard, and have over 600 points again already.

Hi... I've made some good amounts from the survey sites I've done! I originally applied for loads but some of them really aren't any good so I just keep up with the good ones!
I think the best so far for earning money has to be mylot! Not so much for how much you can earn but all the lovely people I've met along the way and all the interesting things people have to say! Beats doing surveys on your own! Well every little helps - I'm never gonna be a millionairess but never mind! :0)

Thanks for the link, very helpful! Its not often I join a scam survey site, as I am like you and try to avoid these, and you are right as you usually can tell which ones are to good to be true. So far I have only joined one that turned out to be crap, but even as i was joining i knew something was fishy. It was that A.W surveys that a few people on mylot have been talking about recently. You earned almost $40 in the first five minutes but I wasn't really expecting any more surveys because it was all too easy to be real. Again thanks for the link, and you are right, there are plenty of real sites out there offering real money, you just have to know where to look for them!

I couldn't agree more. There are many false or misleading sites out there. But there are also many good ones! You need to put the time into it and really sift through them. I signed up for many and have never heard anything from them. But the ones like Lightspeed and Your 2 Cents do send surveys that are consumer surveys and they pay. I used to blow off all the sites that only rewarded with points until I learned--by actually looking more carefully at the site--that I could turn those points into paypal cash. I passed up alot of money because I choose to not do those surveys. So read over your chosen site carefully and get a full view of what the site stands for before making your descision.

yes ive joined some of them, and only to find out that you have to purhase something for "free" with shipping and handling fees..so really not free. I'm surprised these sites are even allowed anymore. I think the whole internet is 90% scams with online jobs.

no my point was that people confuse the bogus survey sites that are the ones you are talking about and the real survey sites that are free and pay you to give your opinion
I wasn't just going for referrals because many genuine survey site don't have a referral program anyway - some do though thta's true such as survey savvy - and well if I can get referrals while helping people then why not
As far as mylot rules, you are allowed to post a link to a website, what is against the rules is posting a referral link
thank you for contributing to the discussion though

Being curious about a certain survey site is just okay. You may read it if you want to and take a quick glance on it. Afterwhich, just use your common sense.

I, too, agree with what you have said. Having worked for actual survey sites what I have noticed is, actual surveys requires tons of time and you have to qualify for them. And, only after registering with tons of survey sites, taking many and being entered into someone's database as a "potential" and/or "ideal" match/candidate will you really begin to get surveys to take.
So, those fake survey sites are the next best thing for some. And, some have actually have surveys if a person doesn't want to qualify for offers...
Over all, I agree with your post very good info that I am sure will help some. Takecare and best of luck.

You are very correct. The reliability of survey site is very low. A low payout per survey site is rather more reliable because they are getting the actual mamount from survey companies. A very few survey company pays $25-100 per user. The survey sites are good medium to built an E-mail database for any future correspondence.

Thanks for the heads up. I have tried many paid surveys in the past and only a few were legit. They are a lot that scam us into taking our hard earned money. I will not waste any more times on surveys because most of them waste mine. There are better ways of getting paid through the internet. You just need to have a good idea. Try what works for you! Thanks again!
