The problem is is if you are adamant in your beliefs then you are right, no one can change you. But I feel bad for you because you havent found God. What is it that makes you not believe? What is it that keeps you from God, I guess that should be answered first.

You don't really seem to care about being right, or being an atheist. You just seem angry at God.

It would be a bit difficult for me to convert you since I an also an atheist. I would not be all that hard to convert. All someone has to do is meet the following points.

ok, so the bible says "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and he will make your path straight."
Blind faith means believing without seeing. It would be too easy to show you himself, or his miracles, then everyone who wouldnt believe? It is like when a parent has a child. They know that that child will suffer and be born into this world of sin, they know he will struggle, be teased, etc, but they still choose to have the child. They do everything they can for that child, give him all the tools available to teach him the right way, yet that child has free will and cannot be fully controlled by those parents. But they hope that the child will find the right way and come back to them in love and acceptance. This is the same way with God. When we trust him and let him lead us, we, as children will see God in all his glory, when we open up and let him in, he can help us, change us. But again we have free will and he wants us all to come back to him, and spend eternity with him in Heaven.

You sound like you are hurting or that something has pulled you away from God. I am not about to try to convert you because that would be a pointless waste of precious time that could otherwise be used to pray for you. My God is more powerful than I am so instead of me trying to convert you, I am putting it in his hands.
You may be right about nobody here being able to convert you. More power to you. But deep down inside you have a desire to be changed. Otherwise, you would not have posted this.

looool.. its funny and ironic because i think praying is a waste of time while convincing me is worth it. i am not "hurt" and there was never a god for me to be pulled away from, and what would pull me away if god is not real?
i dont have a desire to be changed, i have a desire for absolute truth, and seeing what people can say to discredit me with my knowledge. all i am saying is that you cannot "win" the argument using knowledge, you can only win with ignorance, because that is what all the replys have shown me..

hello,
i am not here to convince you that god exists or to convert you from atheist to acetic.i just wanted to say you this.
what i think is this that believing in god or not believing are the two sides of the same coin.both of them are giving their unique reasons to their argument.but i consider believing and not believing are the same.you must try to discover god.
i do not want to convert you and nobody can ever convert anyone.how will i make you believe in god if i myself has not seen or not explored him.jesus was not a liar but he is not a god too.he was just a messenger of god .people have been taught to believe in god for centuries and they do it without finding it out.
you say you do not believe in god but these millions of people are saying there is god.how can you make this statement that god does not exist.i am no ascetic but unless i will find the truth i will not say god is not there.how can you say god is not there unless you have discovered it.
and be not dependent on others that they will help you find god because there are only a few who know about god.if you have to find it you will have have to find it yourself.

sounds like your a muslim...
anyway..
why does everyone say you cant convert anyone? christians did it with the natives, muslims did it to the persians etc etc..
i dont care if millions of people say there is a god, many years ago, millions of people thought the earth was flat..
exactly, i can say god is not there because i have never discoverd it, nobody has, there is no proof for it.

no i am not a muslim,i am a hindu.
ya you have said right that christians have converted people.but they have just made people believe a different god.tyey did not make atheist into ascetics.and what i said is that being atheist is as equal to being ascetic.
ya millions of years before people said that earth is flat and it is not true .but that time there would have been people who may have thought earth is triangular, rectangular, etc but they were also not true.
there would have been people who may have thought that earth is spherical but thinking is one thing and finding out is something else.thinking is far apart from reality.

what definition are you using for ascetic?
being "flat" and being "triangle" does not relate..
greeks found out that it was a sphere before people thought it was flat.
my point of this annalogy is that very few people were educated enough to know that the greeks proved that the earth was spherical (mainly because religion tried to cover it up but thats not the point) and way more people thought the world was flat. the point is that just because a majority believe it, doesnt make it true.

No one can make you believe. God can open your heart, but you have to be willing to be open to Him. I believe that deep down, everyone knows there is a God. Some people just don't want to believe because they are hurt and blame Him or they are just comfortable living in sin and want to run their own lives. They want nothing to do with God. That is a tragic mistake. I would hate to go through this life not knowing the Lord! My life has been so awesome because of Him and because I have made Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.

Why should we "research" our opinions fighting? You are going to give nasty responses no matter what aren't you? You don't even really want to be convinced. You started this topic to argue and try to convince us there is no God.

okay, i used to believe in god, thats not true. i think 90% of all atheists were X-theists, especially with the last generations of religious people... (unless they are commis lol!)
okay, this is SUCH A BAD ANSWER:
"some people just don't want to believe because they are hurt and blame him, or they are just comfrortable living in sin and want to run their own lives."
this is such a stupid answer, re-read what you wrote and you will laugh. oxymorons everywhere.
i dont believe in god, so i dont blame him for anything.
people who do blame god, believe in god.
without god doesnt meen im a bad guy. i have morals.
i can have morals without god.
morals were created before religion was, the 10 commandments were laws from before any organised religion in mesopotamia, showing that morals are man made.
so, you would hate life not knowing the lord??
so if you were born is some place in africa, and you didnt know the lord, you would hate life? im sure christ has nothing to do with you loving god in that life, because you wouldnt know him! haha
this was such a weak argument, i cant believe in what you said, please research before you post..

I would be totally miserable if I did not know the Lord. I depend on Him for everything and He has been so good to me!
I've had bad things happen to me and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it was God Who got me through it all. He has proven Himself over and over and over again in my life and in countless others' lives as well.
I don't know what has happened in your life to make you choose to turn your back on the Lord, but I pray that you will realize just how much you need Him and how much He loves you. He has His arms open wide, ready to accept you back. He has wonderful things planned for your life and it would be sad and tragic for you to miss all of that.

Your sole is not my responsibility. You were born with a free will to chose to believe or not. I an an ex-atheist, religion is what kept me from experiencing and knowing my God as the loving father I never had.

its just a discussion.. my 'soUl' has nothing to do with this.
what made you an atheist in the first place?
what evidence did you find for god thereafter?

no one can convert you, if you enjoy with your atheist, go with it, enjoy it. never think about God. but... honestly maybe i am atheist too, but honestly deepest in our heart there is the empty space, empty space in my heart. so different when i am in God, and after i am out from God.so hard for me to back in that experience with God.i still seacrh it. so if you enjoy you atheist, so you can do that. but if you fell emptyness deepest in your heart, try to search God.now, i have money, i have good career, i have good family, but i feel emptyness that no one happy things can fullfill it. i talk about this, its doesnt meant i know about God, but i just tell what i experience when i lived in God, and when i am out from God. thank you

I fought against it too and i lost the battle of not believing more amazing things happened which i couldn;t explain. At first i hated it i spitted on it.
It's more symbolic. But i'm not gonna try because others didn't make me believe i did it myself.I don't know how.But he chose me to believe in him.And the more i fought against it the more he got stronger.I even did what you did.
My friend was the same as you and slowly she's believing.
