My mother had health probelms for as long as I can remember. But now she is diagnosed with Fibromyalsia. I have no clue what this is really. I have done some research but still dont understand. I have heard that it is commonly diagnosed like alot of other things, just cause they dont really know what is wrong with you. Could anyone help me out to undertand it a little better?

I'm not sure what it is either. I looked up the word you gave and found the correct spelling. "Fibromylagia", this relates to fatigue and such etc.
Here is the link maybe you'll find what you're looking for. Hope this helps!

Hello,
I can tell you what it is by experience. Every muscle in your body is in pain. I started felling the symptoms after I gave birth to my daughter 11 years ago. When you wake up in the mornings it feels like you are walking on nails. You are very stiff first thing in the morning and it takes a while to be able to move about without pain. If you have ever caught yourself stiffing up or being tense, try holding this position for about an hour and let go and relax. This is Fibromyalsia. They claim that you do this very thing in your sleep; you tense your self all night and when you wake up and let go, that is when you feel the pain. I have read that one theory is, is starts with a neck injury. I believe this because, I have had several neck injuries throughout my life. The best think that I have found for my symptoms is Aleve, it works the best, but I dont take it every day because I am afraid of Liver damage also. If you would like to know anything else from someone else that suffers from this let me know. I would be more than happy to talk with you about it.

It isn't exactly true that they don't know what's wrong with you, since the symptoms of fibromyalgia are quite known. What they can't tell you though is the cause and that makes it hard to treat.
For long it has been believed to simply be between the ears although the world health organization has taken it up in their latest classification of diseases recognizing it as a disease rather than a psychological disorder.
Still though it is unclear on whether the cause is psychological or not, there are currently quite a lot of theories on physical ways it could be caused but also none of them have been proven yet.
What is certain though is that better treatment is coming with the years, available medication has improved quite a lot already and the amount of people being able to continue with their lives with just a couple of minor adjustments is getting greater.
It wouldn't surprise me if treatment in this case will be found before they will find the exact cause.

It's actually fibromyalgia and it's characterized by chronic muscle, bone and joint pain or tenderness and easy fatuigability. It's still unsure what causes this syndrome and the goal is to ease the symptoms.
