Has anyone here been hexed and do you believe that one can be hexed?

I once met a woman who believed she had been hexed, and that she was continually receiving bad vibrations for certain persons in her past. She was a raving lunatic, to me! Always walking around, waving her wand in the air, hooting about how horrible her life would be if she didn't have her sacred wand protecting her. I do not believe in hexes. What I do believe in is that the magic put forth against another human being will come back to you thrice-fold, and that you only make yourself and others miserable when you attempt spells of this nature. There are cultures who do believe in hexes, and I respect them for their belief. However, I can truly only bless and occasionally protect without compromising my own power. I have had people ask me to ritually bless a place, talk to Elves, even drive out evil vibrations/spirits. However! When I arrived at the locations of these rituals, I was vexed. I did not feel the vibrations that my friends described, nor could I effectively "drive out a spirit" unless I felt its presence. (Little joke on the side, here: At one location I found that the tree/dell in question was being used as shelter for couples who wanted to make love in the great outdoors! It made me chuckle - the spot was not evil, but blessed with lust/lovemaking power. No evil spirits there! Though I did do the ritual, blessing the area and those who would use it in the future with good luck and prosperity.) ;)

I am not a wiccan or Pagan, but i am very curious as to your beliefs and practises, and wonder if you would please explain some of them?

I think hexes are possible and I do think they can work on unsuspecting people. However I think in most hex cases, people really talk themselves into it. I think they just get so worked up over something and they thing people are out to get them, so before they know it, bad things are happening to them simply because they believe they have been hexed.

if by hexes you mean negative magick worked against someone else for ill end, then yeah. I believe people can do that..it mightn't always work, but it depends on the practitioner. And those that do work magick for ill ends, such as causing harm without provocation..they don't tend to last very long. Bad karma maybe..reaping what they sow, you know. But seeing as I have a hostile alchemist for an ex, who adores playing games..I kinda CAN'T not believe that practitioners of magick can work negative magick against another person -- because I've seen peope do it. And it is pretty rare, and it really sucks..but it happens. *rubs my eyes and sighs* But negative stuff, particularly stuff big enough to hurt most people..takes alot of skill, knowledge, and ability in order to pull off correctly..and to be able to not expect immediate repercussions. But due to the nature of this kind of working, the magick can kind of..rebound on the practitioner, and be reflected back or bounce off, depending upon the person its directed at..and particularly THEIR experience, knowledge, and skill. Or the practitioner who dares do this to begin with.
