Why can you keep drinking once you are full?

I've noticed that after I eat a massive meal I couldn't possibly eat any more but I always have space for drink. Why is this so, does anyone know?

The perceptions of hunger and thirsty are different. The brain is that decides when you had enough food or liquids. It is actually a bad thing to drink too much after meals or when one feels full because the digestion it will not occur properly and this can cause a weight increase.
