Well here we go again with an act of random violence. A young boy of 14 was shot dead today at a Toronto high school. He was the same age as my son. It has me really worried about the safety of our kids at school? How are kids allowed to fight and carry weapons and nothing seems to be done about it? I think we as a society need to step up and take some action to protect our children against these acts of violence so that young lives will not be lost and families will not be torn apart and wounded for the rest of thier lives.

Wow....you are lucky then. I understand your feelings...but then you want them to have a good education and friends and peers at the same time it is dangerous. More definitely needs to be done....

Gosh I had no idea something like this happened again. Yet I'm not surprised though with all this crazy stuff happening in the world today. It is so scary to think about our kids going to school in this world these days. I have 3 children, all 3 will be going to school this august, they are only 8, 5 and 4 but I hope to never have to go through what some of these parents are going through that have children in these schools with these shootings going on. I really don't think that things will get better though because they are getting worse and worse as the years pass by. My kids are only in elementary and they already are changing the rules. Children HAVE to have clear backpacks because of this stuff going on in schools today. I do believe as you stated, as a society we have to step up and take some action to protect our children but I really don't see things getting any better. I'm not trying to be negative but I'm a believer in the world coming to an end and these kinds of things are just signs of the world coming to an end, maybe not right now, only God knows but that's what I think.
