Did "God" create us or did we create "God"

I want you to really think about that for a moment. Was it the human mind that created the Idea of a God so we had someone to fall upon, praise, worship and whine to, or is there a God that created us? And if you believe in one superbeing called God, how do you see him,her or it? Do you believe in Satan too?

The human mind created God. God was created out of fear and not understanding how things worked. Some civilizations had multiple gods to explain the sun, the stars, the moon, the earth, water, etc... all because they didn't understand how it all worked so instead of trying to figure it out they gave it all a mystical quality so when anyone asked they could just say, oh god is responsible for that. I don't believe in any gods, good or evil.

this is where Michelangelo's genius shows.. the adam and god painting, right in the middle of the center of religion in the Sistine chapel. a depiction of god reaching (needing) for human while the human is just relaxing, not caring about this "god". god needs us to survive

i believe in god and the proof is in that every morning you can be awaken or u can die in your sleep..when i was college i took a theory of religion class and this is what i learned from there..1. there is a god u believe you go to heaven 2. u don't believe in god there is a god u go to hell. 3. there is no god but u believe and nothing will happen. 4. u don't don't belive in god and there os no god nothing happens. to each his own on whether or not not they believe in god...some people believe in many different god.so the next question should be if there is a god which god do we serve....something else to think about

You either accept there is a God You accept that there is no God You accept the fact that you can't know if there is a God or Not I belong to the last category and think it's meaningless to think about Heaven or Hell as they are human inventions What happens after you die, nobody knows Would you trust the word an author of an acient book to tell you about afterlife to base your life on?

Mark Twain said, "If man did not have a god, he would have to invent one." Personally, our family believes in a One True God. To describe how I see HIM is a life lesson itself. Yes, we know satan exists as well as 'a third of the angels who were cast out of heaven with him'. The time is coming that those who believe in God will have to take a stand for what they believe in.

I respect your way of looking at it and I highly appreciate your last statement. Having to stand for what you believe in. I have high respect for that. Thank you for sharing.

If man created God, who created man? Now to answer your other questions, I do believe in God and Satan (not saying I worship Satan), but if you really think about it, why with good there is always bad? Why are there always a pair of things? For example, good and bad, left and right, up and down etc.... Do you read the bible? The bible speaks of everything that is happening today. How is that so?

Everything happening today IS in the bible, though some have accused it as a form of witchcraft (whatever). I believe God created man just as the bible says. Satan also exists, we see him in the choices we make sometimes. That was also written.

I think the human mind created the concept of God. Religion is formed only as a tool to organize and control people, and with this the concept of God is formed as well.

the guy who broke the DNA code said that our DNA is so complex that it couldnt have ever evovled, we had to have a creator.

mogie_systems you continue to make this claim and it is totally false. The man you're speaking of is Dr. Francis Collins and he has repeatedly stated exactly the opposite.

Have we even completely broken it? I thought like 10% or more of the genetic code is still unmapped.

Biologists tell us that, if something is common to a species in different environments and experiences, it is a natural part of that species. For example, all humans walk, communicate, sneeze, smile, eat, and expell metabolic waste. We learn how to do some of these things from either observing or being taught be others. However, the fact that all human beings throughout the world do these things it evidence that they are simply part of our "wiring". All cultures of human being have a belief in "god". We are taught different things about who and what the word means, just like we are all taught differently about what is edible and what isn't. That would tend to show that a belief in god isn't an artificial creation. So if man didn't create god, then there must be more to god than just a concept or idea.

Philosophically, both are right. It's a dialectical relation, like hen appears before egg or egg appears before hen.

God created us. God created Satan as well, to answer your question about whether I believe in Satan. God is the Creator of the universe, Milky Way, galaxies, and the planets. He created this world we live in. Satan created Wicca and black magic.

definitely god creates us,the human body nervous system runs on its own you can't design and implement it to growth age by age and it automatically collapses even though how much we are care about our health too,the power of this universe no one can trace out,it simply a child cry for seeing a current in a current line, when we touch the current only we know by shock or by lightening it has some power,we ourselves good and good for this society and ideal personality's and heart full praying the god really comes in front of you may be in money or in your life partner or may be in parents, but the mind of you that much matured to see god in other things then every item is god.i say my view

I definately believe in a higher power, everything is in the world is created by a higher power or by humans, I think its like the ripple effect when you drop a pebble in the pond, we all started somewhere, and with the good(god) comes the bad(satan) the ying yang effect, just my two cents.

My opinion is that GOD is simply the word turned flesh. It is simply NATURE. It is a force. A force you can encounter in every living being or thing. You can find this force also in a stone. This stone consist of an atom with electrons turning around it. Those are the forces I'm talking about. They are omnipotent, omniscience and omni..... Satan is our psychological trainer, who train us by putting obstacles in our way. We ought to overcome them. Every time we overcome an obstacle we gain a spiritual uplift. We go to the next spiritual level. So in each level we have to overcome the obstacles to keep on growing spiritually till we reach the omnipotent and omniscience level of the almighty. All this is dependent to our KARMA. Karma is the law of cause and consequent. In everything you do you have to take into account the consequences of your action.

Personally, I believe there is a God who created us. And he stays alive and real through those of us that believe that. I see him as once being a man and still in a mans image. Or more as we are created in his image. And yes I do believe in satan. How else can we describe so much evil in this world? The evoluton theory doesn't hold much weight to me. I cannot get my mind to wrap around it. I have tried many times. How else can we figure out where IT all originated from? It is good to believe in somethngwether it be only in our minds as an idea or anctual belief in God. I feel sorry for those who lack belief in anything.

i believe that god have created us bcoz humans has a beginning therefore there is someone who have created them and the only one can do that is the one has a supernatural power which is god..unlike other things that u really have to see before you beleive them, in god, it is not important to see him through our eyes but we just have to feel his presence in our hearts..some things happens cant be explain by merely human...the 9 months long process of carrying baby in a womb of A MOTHER..and many more... i also beleive in satan bcoz most of the things have each counteroart, so if there is god theres also satan...

Of course God is creation of man. Humans are creative beings we make things, create things and as such we can't live without the notion that someone or something must have created us, we can't grasp infinity or endlessness. Yes we are so arrogant to even think that out of everything in the universe we are extremely important. We also think in terms of opposites, black and white, dark and light, cold and warm, high and low. This is also because of the way we understand things, we can't understand things if we can't place them. So once we create God there was a need for a opponent Satan.

I believe that there is a God who created us. I may not be able to explain why I think this way, but it is my faith dictating it. As humans whose days on earth are but numbered, and i don't think that neither you nor i have the capability and knowledge to answer these questions. To those who do not believe... well, i hope you're right, for if not, i hope you'll never regret that you didn't. To us who believe, we will not lose anything... yet everything to gain. How 'bout that? About satan... yes, i do believe that this being exists.. that's why i fear for my soul to "burn" in "hell".

I see God as a powerful light which created us.He's almighty.Satan was a fallen angel called lucifer. He knew the secrets of God and he wanted to be as powerful as God but he can't because God created him so no one can ever compete with God. We can create all things but he created one man and a woman and they have created us.

There is a Creator of all, that being said let us talk about G_D. G_D is a creation of man, how ever G_D is not the Creator, The Creator is outside of creation, and outside the understanding of thought. we can not preseive the creator, we can only preceive his creation. Therefor becouse we can not preceive the creator we conceive G_D. We create G_d in our superego image, Without the things that couse us pain and suffering, the things we inturpet as sin, we place him at the pinticle of creation and try to give the un-nameable a name. The devil is real though, once you truly understand who he is and his nature, The devil (meaning "little god" is opposed to is opposeded not only to the will of G_D, but to the will of the Creator as well. Meaning the devil does noteccept the laws of creation, is always against creation, and is the opposit of creation, which is destruction. His nature is to destroy, and do what is against the laws of G_D and the creator. So the logical identity of the devil is man. Man is the little god, Sense we are naturaly oppsed to any will but our own, we have no desire to do what is impossed on us by any other god but us. Which is another reason why preseiveing the Creator is so far from us unless we have a conversion within our nature which is based on ego. Everything man does is about his ego, Even the worship of G_D. When we do something "good" for someone else it is still an act of ego, we hope some one would do something klind for us, or we do it becouse we get a good feeling from doing it. The only way we can ever experiance or preseive the creator is by killing our ego and do things that do not benifit ourselves. We stop asking ourselves, "whats in it for me", and just do things becouse it is the right thing to do, regardless of the outcome for us.

it is very tough question to answer as a well educated and good civilian we know what happened and what happening in the world as per science after after earth creation and initially see creatures are created and then land creatures then human beings are created it is the changes in the nature so we can't say god as created human and after so many million years humans are started living in a form of groups and started as a society so the want a faithful thing for a mental satisfaction that is nothing but god of course every body having different ways to pry god and followed by different religions again believe also individual even though by birth belongs to one particular religion they may believe or may not some times they my convert in to other religion some of them by personal interest and some of them for need and some of them by some body's force.

I think people need something to believe in. The Governments of the world needed and still need laws to surpress the people so they came up with a thing that no one would argue with. Would you dispute the word of God, he/she is the final word. I know I wouldn't want to question it. Because if I am wrong I would have to deal with his/her wrath. I'm not ready to do that! But I feel it is up to each and every one to decide for them self.

Well, on my belief and understanding God created man, i do have a strong faith that God created the world and other creatures in this world, although i cant see my God i still believe in HIM.. Believing in God is not in seeing Him.. I do believe that there is a satan...but i dont want to be his follower.. id rather follow God even if i dont see him by means of living my life according to God's will..
