Mom Freezes egg so daughter can have child..

I saw this online new on msn.com dated May 24, 2007.
A mom decided to freeze her egg so when the time come her daughter would want to have children of her own she could use it. Her daughter is suffering from a genetic condition that normal child bearing will not be possible.
Ethical or not?

This seems wrong. The egg belongs to the mother so even if it is implanted into the daughter, technically, it's still the mother's right? So the daughter's baby will be her sister?

yes..technically it is. Her sister and at the same time the granduaghter.

That's just so wrong. Don't they even think about the moral consequences of doing something like that?

I don't think it is wrong, but I would want more info before firmly saying. Is the genetic ondition one that would pass down through the mother's egg? It would not be ethical for her to deliberately produce a child who would have problems.

Her daughter has an option if she wants the egg implanted to her in the future.
Dont you think science is getting too far of interfering with the normal way of child bearing?
