i agree, i think photoshop is better. but i also think that corel painter and photoshop works well together. i generally use photoshop because it's fast. it's good at starting a painting, putting some flat colors. Then Painter, will do the finishing touches, with blending the colors. But if your patient, you can all do this alone with photoshop. Anyway, these programs are just tools. Talent dictates the outcome of your work. have a nice day!

Big fan of using Photoshop for all of my digital imaging. It's probably the most versitile program that there is, and there are a ton of plugins and filters that can really create some awesome effects with your work.
I couldn't live without my Photoshop! :)
