hi,
recently unknowingly i gave away MAC address of my LAN card to the customer service of ISP, some one told me he may misuse it and i may get stuck up
please tell me what are the happenings of this

well when I had an isp do this to me, it was a way for the computer to sign onto the internet. I was using a router and I gave them the mac address of the router. A mac address is the address of your machine / computer on a network. it is another way to find it just like an ip address.
