i just wish that elections would be computerized so that a lot of teachers will be safer.. elections would be more transparent.. and the time spent on counting the ballots would really lessen...
But the only problem here is the computer data integrity.. =(

hello there. *sigh* philippines is so poor. i pity the philippines, because its government is really very dirty. you know what i think? its so ironic. people would go to the extent of killing their fellow man just so they can serve the country. couldnt they just serve together? in peace?!?!?!

Yes, raeine, politics in our country might be dirty but this kind of politics is also manifested in other countries as well. However, not all candidates cheated their way to get elected. I know of a lot of candidates in many areas of our country who are really honest and did not buy any votes but just presented themselves and their platforms in rallies. In one forum where I am a member, a young man from Sariaya, Quezon ran for Councilman and also got a shock when people started approaching him for money (burial, hospital, educational expenses, etc.) but he patiently told them that he is not in a position to give them any money and if he will do that, he will surely get it back from working in the government. He wrote that he lost (for his rivals really poured out money) but he felt HE WON the election and is proud of the 10,000 people who voted for him without him buying them, the incorruptibles. We, too, can change our country if we start within ourselves -- our attitudes, our insights on politics and our country have to be revised in order that our country may be great again. And even in the internet, we could be ambassadors of our country.
