Does your name have any special meaning?

My mother gave me my name and when i was growing up i never liked it coz its unsual and foreign but when i met someone with the same name that girl told me that we have the same name and she told me the meaning of our name: it means "a beautiful fairy". Now i like my name and i like the uniqueness of it. I have given names to my children and i am proud of it.

Meaning of my name is unshakable,firm,and the one who isn't afraid of adverse circumstances.

Both of us are in the same boat. So let's face the tide without rocking the boat. I too have one name and that is "Joseph". If you see the dictionary it means 'May he add children'. But I have not lived up to my name and have only one child. I will not make any more. Actually I was born on the feast of St.Jude and I was supposed to be name Jude. But my father did not like the name and he changed it to Joseph.

I heard that my name was given by my dad, i like my name and it has a good meaning. In our language my name means someone who is respected and honoured, a famous person like that. In real i am not famous or not like the meaning of the name but i really like my name. Friends call me by half names and someone special calls me sweeti..lolzzzzzz or other good names.

My mom gave me my name. I have two names, 'Delores' means Lady of Sorrow, and my second name 'Pammie' if im not mistaken means Honey =) I believe they didnt name me out of their meanings, they probably just liked those names and named me that.
