When was your last trip to the dentist for a check up?

I'm interested in this subject because I work for a dentist. I was working full time in the office as a chairside assistant but when I had my child, I decided to stay at home. The dentist suggested that I could work from home by calling patients to talk to them about their re-call (3 or 6 month exam &cleaning). So when was the last time you were at the dentist? Is there something that keeps you from going back? If so, what is it? Any other comments you have about dentists (positive or negative) also be appreciated.

I try to go every year, but when I got my apointment in december i had to cancel. I cannot go because I am too ill. I just wish there was a dentist that could make house calls! I do not want my teeth to suffer just because i am not able to get to the dentists office

Sorry to hear that you're ill, not something too serious I hope. Yes, it's too bad that dentists can't make house calls. Best way to keep your teeth in good shape until you can make it in is daily brushing and flossing. People underestimate the power of these 2 things. I've found the hardest part for most people is that they've never been taught how to do either one correctly.
