Music is said to hold some supernatural powers. I do find it true 'coz music can potray all the inner feelings that is within a person. It can have an adverse effect on the listener as it can make a person laugh and cry without any control over oneself. Music is the medium in which the listener always does not have to understand what the lines says. The music itself is powerful enough to intice emotions in oneself.

If music does have supernatural powers, I have yet to see those powers. although I do get you could say a rush from listening to certain bands, I have yet to see anything supernatural happening.

I'm not sure about supernatural, but music is indeed powerful. Through music (or any other art form), an artist can express ideas and emotions far beyond what words are capable of. Music does especially well in this field because it is directly felt (through hearing) and is more easily processed in the brain. For instance, a particularly uplifting string of chords or notes can be easily identified upon hearing it, whereas in paintings the happiness or sadness can sometimes evade the viewer. Music is also capable of altering a person's mood, as you mentioned. Furthermore, if you are already in a certain mood, listening to music that corresponds to your mood helps heighten it. The same is true with the opposite--listening to 'happy' music when you're sad can make you happy too.
