I wonder if Canada is that arctic place we saw a while back? Northern Canada is arctic-like. We know Ben Didn't want anyone to know abuot The Looking Glass, or at least he didn't want any of the people who want to get off the island to know.
Perhpas there is still Dharma, but Ben's group is now a rogue chapter? Maybe the woman who paracheuted onto the island (who's name is escaping me right now...) is trying to gget the rogue group back?
I still haven't figured out How Penny fit's into this.
I really love this show..but man...so many questions!

Yes, that's a thought. Canada being the arctic place. It seems that ben didn't want people to know about the jamming of transmissions. I mean Juliette knew, but Mikhail did not. So what's that about?
It would seem to me that Dharma would know how to find the island, being that they were there before. I still think the people on the boat and Penny's people are the same, just working for different people. Naomi (parachute girl) might be working for Penny's father, which is why Penny doesn't know about her. But Naomi knows about Penny and Desmond. Just a guess.

That's a pretty good guess. We know that Penny's father is not a huge fan of Desmond, so he probably wants to get to him before Penny does. So Penny and her Dad both have a dharma affilation, but they are using different resources to find the same person/place?

I caught that too and my feeling was that Dharma was this massive corporation (kind of a Haliburton type deal) that is worldwide and I also believe they were behind putting out that they had found the wreckage of the plane and that there were no survivors so that no-one else would come looking for them.

Ben has lied and told so many half-truths that it's hard to tell if he's actually still a part of Dharma or not....looking forward all this stuff getting tied up over the next 3 seasons

Maybe he just chose Canada randomly. Ben is a really bad liar, lets not forget! I think Ben wanted people to think the underwater station is flooded so noone ever bothered going to look there, as they would discover the signal for communicating with the outside world is blocked. x
