I was recently informed by Yahoo.com that there is a hoax going around. These malicious emails are sent to look like they came from Yahoo. They have email addresses such as info@yahoo.com or webmaster@yahoo.com. If there is an attachment, do not open it because they are trying to spread a virus around. Please find out first if this is real or not by sending an inquiry to support@yahoo.com. That was the only email address that turned out to be legitimate for me. Do be careful.

You may want to contact yahoo first and find out, let them know about this email. Most times it is a scam, I don't think yahoo would scam anyone, but just in case it is real contact them. Hopefully it works out well.

It is a hoax, but if you want to be sure, contact yahoo for details. When contacting them though, DO NOT reply to the email. Start your own email instead. you may see yahoo's email address when you reply to the email, but a copy may also be sent to the scammer who originally sent it to you.
