Hard Chords

When I was first learning guitar, I had the hardest time with F. Whether it was the Barre or straight chord, it didn't matter, my fingers just didn't seem to want to make that one work.
Bm was also a hard one. It wasn't hard to do, but changing from other chords to it took forever for me to get it down.
Was/is there a chord that gave you fits trying to master?

C, F, and Bm were all hard for me because they're similar in structure. I's very hard to see if you've got your first finger in the right spot when you're trying to place the rest of your fingers.
I got over it by practicing the chord change from C to F, C to F. eventually, my fingers just movied by themselves.
You'll ge it - one day it'll just pop right in.
Practice, practice, practice! ;)

Oh, I got them long ago. I just thought it would be interesting to find out which chords other guitarists had trouble learning.
Now I'm trying to get Barre chords down. I started guitar kind of late (in my 30s) and my fingers don't seem to want to twist right for them. ;~D

I know absolutely thousands of chords but can never remember the names of them due to the nature of my style.
I play finger style with these really complex jazz chords but the point being, some of them were a total nightmare learning to finger, but not only that, moving to another chord & back to them. & to this day after 25 years of playing, I still come across new chords & find I have to go through the process again

I never thought of it, but I don't know the names of the chords I play when finger picking either. I think more in terms of scales and arpeggios then. Hmmmm, now you've got me curious ;~D

It's strange isn't it, I find myself playing basic chords at a root & adding all sorts of notes & creating these chords.
Some chords I've created & have been using for years & it just never dawned on me to look them up & find out what they're actually called, I just kinda took them for granted & let them become part of my sound :)

..my sister in law wrote down for my granddaughter the chords.. then my granddaughter's guitar string broke.. but now she will mess around with her grandpa's, which otherwise gets pretty dusty.. but there sit the chords still in the shelves.. I really do have to get that out and encourage her to learn the chords.. Yes, about four christmasses ago everyone wanted guitars for christmas, so that's what I got them.. hasn't amounted to lots though, except my granddaughter does a real good job of just strumming to something she's singing, so it was well worth it!

When i was first trying to learn playing guitar, i looked for a chord that only has two notes involved coz i have a short fingers. I have with me a CHORD CHART and a song book has a lots of songs in it. i look for the song that i know and check their chords, luckily, i found one. BABE of styx. (Stanza) which is D6 - Em7 - A7sus - A7... i was very excited. Then my uncle thought me how to play Four Strong Winds. But i can't play the F part. :-)

Another player who had trouble with that F'n F Chord!! ;~D
I think that's why my dad gave it up years ago too. He has picked it up again though, I'll have to ask him how that F is coming along. When I finally got it down, I called him to celebrate. ;~D
