How often do you check your email's spam folder?

I don't count how often but know I empty it several times during the day - in both of my email accounts.

I just check my spam folder when I am just subscribe to a newsletter or the like (which needs confirmation, and usually the confirmation email goes to your spam folder!).. but in ordinary days, I just clear them right away without reading the mails there.

I check my mailbox closely to daily. I check my spam box anywhere from 0 - 10x a day. Because I hate seeing the number count next to my Spam Box. So normally i often scan through to see if any non spam email being stuck there. Then I just clear it. I clear it even when there is only 1 spam mail.

if i feel like it, i usually empty it w/out looking at it coz i feel like it just a waste of my time checking those spam.

My e-mail uses a Challenge-Response spam filter. I don't have a spam folder, I have a pending folder. I check it whenever I feel like it, usually five times a day or so, just in case there's someone to be approved or denied, but it's usually empty. Spammers and phishers don't bother with me. :) When there is something in my pending folder, it's usually something I just signed up for, and I know right away. If I'm not sure, I use a special program to "preview" the message. That way, if it turns out to be spam/fraud, I can delete it and block the sender e-mail address without them knowing I looked at it. ;)

I try to check my spam email atleast once a week. Sometimes I get a chance and I check it twice. There also have been times when I have had to let it go longer. I have seen a couple of mylot discussions in my spam folder once so I have tried to check it more often.

I do not check my spam folder and am really wondering how the mylot notifications got entered into your spam forlder.

I check it once a month only. Normally I would not find time to check that.

Hello sacmom; I do check my spam folder every time I open my email , sometimes I have important messages that are retrieved into my spam folder so I have to remove them from the folder and mark them as safe messages have a good time

I don't usually check my spam folder. I usually delete all the messages in my spam folder. I guess I will check it from time to time now that you have shared your experience with mylot and spam folder. I could have missed some of my mylot responses without checking my spam folder.

I check mine daily. I check it for that reason, in case I miss something from mylot of from some of my other websites. You just never know what you will find in your spam folder.

i checked my emails everyday both inbox and spams box. because if i cannot check in a day, gosh i have hundreds of mails, and its hard to read them one by one. LOL so better open them daily.

i always check my spam folder because mainly all of my email from the sites i have been thru are allthere. thats why its important to check it always. as not to be out dated and to know the latest from my friends here in mylot and to other of my sites. thanks friend jhelai

I didn't direct my mylot messages to my spam folder so I don't check it ... I just empty this folder every now and then without even seeing what the messeges it contains ... maybe this is wrong because sometimes it may contain some messages that supposed to be in the inbox ... but I'm lazy so I don't check it ever ... should I check this folder regularly ?

I check it all the time I have my Mylot mail going to my spam mail.

Actually I will check it everyday. I am using Hotmail and I will check the junk folder now and then. As I am afraid sometimes it will file an email to this wrong folder. I love China

I keep checking my spam folder as often as possible. Its a habit I've developed over the last couple of years. Its strange how a lot of the important stuff keeps getting into the spam folder. Also my lazyness or ignorance to add them to my address list is not making things any easier. The worst part is that most the unimportant mails are sent to the inbox. Really disgusting.

Hi there Sac Mom. Wow, a 3years old discussion, but it is still good to respond to. Well to get on topic, i think i check it almost every time that i am not in a hurry when i have new mail in my inbox also. I do go there in order to send to inbox the miss placed mails, or to clear the spam folder.

I check my spam folder once a month. Never looked seriously on caught mails!

I check it daily and i see most are from myLot - comments to my responses or discussions started by friends. At least two are about me getting a best response mark. I wonder why they got to be spam mails?
