What is exactly considered "regular exercise"? A routine of movements done on a regular basis, or does it include specific exercises/movements? I walk sporadically, nothing routine. Whenever I get the urge, I go (usually about every third or fourth day). I also to spurt exercises (lol). This is where I do anything strenuously for at least 10 minutes. I like to change things up a bit so some days I may do 10 mins marching in place or jumping jacks

I think it is regularly scheduled, not really the same routine. Like 10 minutes a day for 3 days a week doing some kind of movement in the purpose of exercise. you can witch up the exercises or routine, you are hust supposed to do it consistently like a schedule. Just my guess.

Thanks for the response. I seem to have been working on weight loss for over a month now with very little success. I have lost a couple of pounds, gained two pounds, lost another couple fo pounds, but nothing substantial yet.

Thank you for all of the great input! I am making a mental note of need for an exercise schedule. Heck, I have went as far as to add exercise goals to my calendar. I am going to attempt to first try to exercise for an entire 30 minutes everyday!

I go to the gym. Thankfully there is one close to my home, and it is reasonable in price. It is also just for women, and I go when my husband gets home from work. I am noticing that the losing of weight is nice, however I am sleeping more soundly (a benefit for an insomniac) and I'm having a little more energy. I think regular is at least three times a week for 20 minutes at a time, and exercise would be an activity that raises the heartrate for an extended period of time. There are plenty of videos and that kind of thing that you can use at home. Right now, my husband is going to start doing push ups, sit ups, and yoga with a video at home to start exercising regularly, and I'm going to have to remind him to do it, however he is always tired and worn out and exercise increases your stamina and energy.

Thank you for your response. I am currently unemployed so I am not looking to join a gym just yet. I suppose now is the best time for me to start exercising as I have no major responsibility holding me back. Even though looking for employment has turned into a full time job for me lately!
