Would you let your babysitter spank your kids?

Do you think its right for the babysitter to spank your kids? What if your children are acting up and wont listen? What do you tell the babysitter to do to discipline your children? I would NEVER allow a babysitter to spank my children. They can stand in a corner or have time out, but I wont allow others to spank my children!

No i wont ever let anybody spank my children. I personally never do so how can i allow others to do the same. I love them darely and if they are doing something wrong or are not listening the concerned person can talk to me and i would get them on the right track but spanking them NO WAY

They say the best way to discipline your children is my redirecting them that way it keeps them away from the negativity. I try this, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt!

I don't spank my son, so a babysitter will not lay a hand on him. If I found out, I'd fire her immediately and let all my friends know to not use her. When I was a babysitter, I used time outs and let the parents know what happened if they were acting up, I let them take care of their own childrens discipline.

I feel the same way. I too use timeout. I also think I should tell the parents and then when they get home with the kids they should discipline them to a point where they will not disobey or act up at my home or with me.

I never like others spanking my kids or threating them or teasing them unless they are wrong in their behaviour and in case of babysitter i never like this from her and if atall they not listen to her and they act more celever than her then i probably ask her to treaten them thats all,becoz even myself i didnot spank my kid till now and iam against the spanking kids.

I spank my kids but very rarely. I would never let a babysitter do it though. You never know what some would do out of anger, that is scary. I believe in spanking my own kids though!

Oh noo, I will not allow anyone who will spank my children maybe scold or do some mild punnishment can be but spanking is not right to do. And giving some mild punishment it depends also in what mistakes commited. She must consult me first and I will be the one to punished my kids.
