I don't know. I think it depends on the severity of the crime and how many times they keep doing the same thing. I think that the very least that should be done is maybe they should have to pay for therapy for their victims. And life in prison for repeat offenders.

the thing is i'm not sure. i just know that they do deserve to be locked up and never let back out into society again. they reason i feel this way is because i was molested by my stepdad when i was 5-9years old and i told my mom about it when i was 5 and all she could ask me was should she kick him out or sholud she let him stay and i still can't forgive her for that because she chose to let him stay and for that i lost all respect for her. i feel that , that was not a decision for a 5 year old to make and that she chose him over her own childs safety. i promised myself that i would not let that happen to my daughter , thats why i'm so over protective of her.

Im so sorry to hear about this hun! Yes, that was very wrong of your mother. You were already feeling bad for what happened, to make you feel safe, she should have said, he is out right now and im pressing charges. To put a child in such a prediciment as she did you makes the child feel guilty for saying anything at all. I am also overprotective of my kids, I wont take the risk.
