That depends on your craft. Do you have a craft that other people wish to buy? Is it comething that you can put together with out too much work but is good quality? Is it smething unique? Many people have staarted business based on their hobbies and make a good living but many others have tried and failed. Do your research to find out if your craft has a market before you quit your day job. I am retired so I do not have a day job to worry about but my retirment pay is not much either. I am unable to work due to job injury so I try to make some extra money selling my Natifve American crafts in consignments stores.

I would think that home crafted items, especially Native crafts would sell well on ebay and other craft sites. I have seen some craft consignment shops online, where you can post a pic of your item and they help you sell it for a small fee. Maybe that info would help you out on your new business venture. Best of luck.

You should check out Etsy (www.etsy.com)! It's really easy to set up a shop there and by browsing the site, you can get an idea of what kinds of crafts people generally buy and are in the market for. Hope that helps!
