Dear friends, What do you keep on your bed side, while you go to sleep? I always keep a water jug or bottle handy, besides a book, small medicine box, torch, my mobile phone with hands free kit (so if need be, I could listen to music).A dim light remains switched on during night time.
What about you?

quite a list!! but deepak, i think you are very careful and planned person. the belongings you have mentioned speak a lot about it. i really appreciate, we should be careful and take care of ourselves. my friend's father passed away in his bed. he couldn't manage to swallow sorbitrate (instant heart reliever), which was not handy!! its sad but its always better to be careful than to be sorry.
i always keep my mobile and the book i am reading currently by my bedside. i set the alarm in my phone so i need it handy and as for the book i would not sleep until i have read a few pages. sometimes i would just have the book in my hand and before even finishing a couple of lines i would fall asleep. my mother would switch off the TV and the light.
bye and take care.

Mimpi, I entirely agree with you that it is better to be careful than feel sorry (at a later school). I also use my mobile for alarm, invariably even I am at home or out of station, mobile remains with me. Sometimes I happen to read book, which takes me to nice sleep or I would prefer listening songs on my mobile, before going to sleep. I feel certain things, such as medicines should be there on our bed side. All of a sudden somebody in the home waking up and telling that he/she is feeling uneasy or something like that...in that case..you can provide him/her immediate medical assistance.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ++++rated.

dear deepak,
i couldnot agree more with you, especially, when you are the boss of the house and donot want any inconvenience at odd hours, its best to be careful. i have seen my brother-in-law doing the same for with the kids around you never know.
thanx for sharing.
have a nice day.

I don't keep anything at all...I used to read in my bed, but now I have my special reading room where I can relax, read and be on my laptop...
When I am in my bed, I don't need anything while I am sleeping...
I only sleep 6-7 hours at night and usually fall asleep within few seconds..

Pola, it is nice to know that you can manage with a sleep of 6-7 hours... U must be very strong physically and mentally and you must be busy through out the day..therefore you can go to sleep immediately after goint to bed.
Thanks

I think, some items are necessary to keep, such as medicines or/and water around your bed side. Is not it?

I don't take my mobile with me,my husband do.Also i don't take any water even if I drink a lot .I can't drink any water out from refrigerator even if outside have snow i drink cold water,so always I stand up ,go to kitchen for water.
That's all.

Hi Deepak,
I keep one water bottle and any magazines and as well news paper always...because all the day i am busy in office so i hardly look at news paper all through the day ...so while sleeping i make it a point to read atleast the headlines though not completely the news paper...hahaha...:)
Bye and enjoy weeekend.

Wow, seems that you are preparing for a camp. lol.
For me, very simple. I can do things in darkness. I just bring along the remote control for the fan to on/off the fan when needed. I also reposition my alarm clock so that when I open my eyes, I can see the time directly.

We here in India, do not have fans with remote, although ACs do have Remote controls.
Clock, Watch, Mobile is necessary to know the time..if you happen to get up at night.
You are great that you can do things in darkness. Wonderful!

I keep a water bottle beside me, i hate the feeling of waking up dehydrated from all the long sleep, especially when its a hot night like, its already night time but its still hot- just like last summer. I also keep a book- something to read to get to sleep or something i like reading and my mobile phone- I dont bring a torch or a flash light with me to bed, if in case theres a sudden power outtage-i use my mobile fone as the emergency source of light. And since now i have a baby, (my baby sleeps beside me, she just has this small comforter in a small basket like portable bed- im really not familliar with the english term, but something like that so that i dont roll over and squeeze her) so since shes sleeping beside me, i have baby bottles, milk formula, 1-2 pcs of diaper, an extra baby shirt, baby powder and some wet wipes on my bedside =)
