A great part of My Lot is that we get to interact and get to know people all around the world.
If you were asked to list one thing your were most proud of about your country. What would that be?
I am proud be an to American because I am allowed freedom of religion.

Well I am proud of being Greek because we are very open hearted and hospitable and by Golly do we have some great food lol. We love our food, but a lot of it is healthy. You will never find a Greek house without a big bottle of virgin olive iol lol. I am also proud to have married a Chinese. They have a great History and are very intelligent and are great inventors. Well I could write a list as long as my arm lol, but most of all I am proud to be on Mylot, even if my star fell from a ten to a nine lol hahaha

i live in a multi-racial and multi-religion country, so religious freedom is not a problem here, now.
The thing i'm proud of my country is its security, low crime rate.
Anyone can feel secure, even a girl walking on the street at night. That's how safe or secure we feel about our country.

I live in the United States and am glad for the freedom of speech. My brothers were in the service and in many of the countries they were stationed women couldn't say anything against their husband. He was the ruler of the home and women are to be quiet and do what he says to do now. My husband may not always like me to speak what is on my mind, but he doesn't stop me.

Oh this is such a difficult one for me. Years ago it would have been so easy but now with our new Government, I am ashamed sometimes. But let us look at the positive. We have the Kruger National Park and I think one of it's kind in the world. It has the big 5 and is still a very beautiful place and a huge tourist attraction. I wish I could include things like you, freedom of religion are somewhat tainted, and true democracy is a pipe dream.

..that the foundations were christian.. and the freedom of people to make their own choices.. even when some of them (choices) are bad for society, for God himself gave 'free-will'.. I don't buy the sentiment that the USA is some sort of evil.. even though it has changed lots in many of her citizens worldview.. I believe some things make a country thrive, and other things make it decline.. A thriving country does not automatically imply wrongdoing.. which I think is a popular mindset these days. Just means you have followed some rules of prospering. Although of course no country is perfect, nor all its business people.

I'm like you, Proud to be an American because of freedom of religion and all the many other freedoms we have that many others may never enjoy.
We have a small group that meets every 2 weeks for bible study and prayers and last night we discussed our rights and responsibilities as a citizen of the US and a citizen of God's Kingdom.
